A Tale Of Stone And Fire Dreamlight Valley Quest Guide
Unlocking new tool upgrades in Disney Dreamlight Valley is essential for clearing obstacles and expanding your access across the village. Among these crucial missions, Maui's Level 4 friendship quest leads players toward unlocking a powerful Pickaxe enhancement. Completing this adventure allows players to break large sea debris blocking key coastal passages.
Starting the Quest and Visiting the Moana Realm
To begin A Tale of Stone and Fire, you must reach Friendship Level 4 with Maui after completing his initial village tasks. Speak with Maui, then follow him down to Dazzle Beach near the entrance to the Glade of Trust. He will point out large blue coral debris and request that you retrieve items from his basket located in the Moana Realm.
Travel to the Moana Realm through the Dream Castle to locate the beached vessel. Next to the boat, interact with the storage basket to collect five Scraping Stones along with any additional items inside. Return to the Valley and deliver these items directly to Maui so he can begin preparing your tool upgrade.
Preparing a 5-Star Meal for Maui
Before Maui can upgrade your tool, he requires a fresh 5-star meal to fuel his strength. You can cook any recipe that uses five ingredients, such as Bouillabaisse or Ratatouille. Ensure the dish is freshly prepared rather than taken from existing storage so the quest step registers properly.
Deliver the warm dish to Maui to earn your Pickaxe upgrade immediately. Follow him back to the sea debris on Dazzle Beach and use your newly upgraded Pickaxe on the blue coral. Upon breaking the structure, collect the Sandstone inside and hand it over to Maui to learn the Granite Fire Bowl crafting recipe.
Crafting and Placing the Granite Fire Bowl
To finish the quest, you need to gather specific materials to craft the Granite Fire Bowl. Collect 20 Sand, 25 Stone, 10 Coal Ore, and 3 Red Falling Penstemon flowers from around the Plaza. Mining rock spots in the Plaza or Peaceful Meadow will quickly yield the necessary stone and coal ore.
Head to any Crafting Station in the Valley and assemble the Granite Fire Bowl located under the Furniture tab. Open your Furniture menu while in the Valley and place the item anywhere in your village to satisfy the quest requirement. Speak to Maui one last time to conclude the quest and permanently gain the ability to clear coastal sea debris.
